The federal government is committed to award at least 23% of Federal prime contract dollars to small businesses, with individual prime and subcontracting goals for certain identified small business groups. At least 5% of its billions of dollars are earmarked to go to women-owned and small disadvantaged businesses; and, at least 3% to HUB zone, Veteran, or service-disabled Veteran-owned small businesses.
